\u00e2\u20ac\u01532G: Guggenheim group\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is a group set up temporary to provoke the Real to a reality,
\nof the discussion on possibility of the Guggenheim museum project in Vilnius.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u01532G: Guggenheim group\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is a meeting place for different, sometimes opposing, communities:
\nthe investors and realtors, the architects and vendors, the students and business,
\nfashion workers and politicians, at the end all citizens concerned on the global scale.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u01532G: Guggenheim group\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was initiated as a lab inviting a group of people,
\nstudents from VAA (Vilnius Art Academy), students from NTNU (Norwegian University for Science and Technology) and leading experts in Lithuania and overseas to support the Official case of Guggenheim research project by starting with performative discussion and workshop in Vilnius with possible further development on the franchise sites of Guggenheim project.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u01532G: Guggenheim group\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is planned as drifting production site
\nto produce several overlapping layers during the summer 2008:<\/p>\n
1. A \u00e2\u20ac\u0153social housing project\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is an invitation to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153realize\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\nthe unrealized Guggenheim projects in a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153human\u00e2\u20ac\u009d scale,
\ntransforming the proposals for Guggenheim museum into
\nthe shelters for homeless people and building them in the location of the future Guggenheim in Vilnius at the river bank.<\/p>\n
2. \u00e2\u20ac\u01532G: Guggenheim group\u00e2\u20ac\u009d will also \u00e2\u20ac\u0153revise legacy of Fluxus\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\nand produce series of re-enactments staged at the JMVMC (Jonas Mekas Visual Art Centre) and fashion\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d business centre \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Vilnius Gates\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Vilnius.<\/p>\n
3. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Opera\u00e2\u20ac\u009d will chart all anxieties and desires for Vilnius Guggenheim
\nin a performative form. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Opera\u00e2\u20ac\u009d will result as an outcome of the workshop scripting process,
\nthat would retranslate encounters, interviews, etc. into the form of performance.<\/p>\n
The three parts of the research and production will be represented in a form of the
\ninstallation in 2008 Taipei biennale, including film and video archive of events, site drawings, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153social housing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d models, posters, postcards, weblog and more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
