{"id":421,"date":"2014-12-01T21:57:34","date_gmt":"2014-12-01T21:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nugu.lt\/us\/?p=421"},"modified":"2019-12-11T19:51:47","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T19:51:47","slug":"zooetics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nugu.lt\/?p=421","title":{"rendered":"Zooetics, 2013-2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zooetics is a notion in progress to explore new ways to engage human knowledge \u2013 scientific methods and the infrastructure of institutions \u2013 and research with other forms of life \u2013 from mammals to microbes to molluscs \u2013 and to imagine designs, prototypes and interfaces for future interspecies ecologies.<\/p>\n<p>Zooetics aim to address the crisis in human relationships with the environment by unpacking notions of Anthropocene, Nature and Interspecies and looking at new conjunctions across these concepts.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the Zooetics involves finding a common language across disciplines in the sciences and arts. Another part engages the frontier site of disconnection between human knowledge and the knowledge of other life, by using fiction (literary and visual) as a method to engage with the unknown, unknowable and apparently insoluble.<\/p>\n<p>The Zooetics research is conceived by Nomeda and Gediminas Urbonas, artists, in dialogue with Tracey Warr, writer and senior lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, UK<br \/>\n<a class=\"link_processed\" href=\"http:\/\/traceywarrwriting.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/traceywarrwriting.com<\/a> and Viktorija \u0160iaulyt\u0117, curator and researcher at Jutempus Interdisciplinary Art Program, Lithuania <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vilma.cc\/jutempus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.vilma.cc\/jutempus<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"content_module cm_text has_padding narrow_text\">\n<p>Zooetics is part of the outreach and education programme of Frontiers in Retreat (EACEA 2013-1297) project.
